God’s timing

I’m back in Texas. My parents met me at the airport last night and it was so, so good to see them. We went to straight to Sonic from the airport. 😀

I booked my flight home last year, before I got my visa to Ireland approved. I had no reasoning for picking November 4, other than it was one of the latest days that I could buy a flight for so many months in advance. My mom found out a couple of weeks ago that she needed to have a serious surgery. Originally it was scheduled for this past week, and I was disappointed I wasn’t going to be there for it, but thankful that I would be home for most of her recovery. Then her surgery got pushed back to Nov. 6, tomorrow. I’m so thankful (and I think my Mom is too) that I am home and can help my family more during this difficult time, especially because my sisters are both away at college. This was a wonderful reminder to my family that nothing in life is random-God has carefully ordained everything and His timing is perfect.

Please pray for my Mom tomorrow. Lots of her friends have called her today and I have heard her say over and over that God is in control and because of that, she is at peace. So true! Thanks for reading and praying.
