Notre Dame vs. Navy-Emerald Isle Classic

Last weekend, 35,000 Americans traveled across the Atlantic for the Emerald Isle Classic-Notre Dame vs. Navy.  On game day, Carlos and I ventured over to the stadium and watched the third quarter from outside the huge doors where the team buses pull into the stadium. It provided a good view of about 10 yards of the field. Notre Dame was killing Navy, so lots of fans left early, and we got to go in and watch the 4th quarter in seats about 20 rows back from the field. We also made a new friend, Jackie from New York who lives in Ireland! I really could care less about either team, but I love American football and being in the stadium with my countrymen made me feel right at home. Also, as annoying and loud as American tourists can be, it was comforting to see American clothes and hear real English being spoken around town for an entire weekend 😉
