Fullness

on

Life has been really full lately. Normally I might use the word busy, but to me busy implies you have too many things going on that you’re not fully engaging in any of them. So I use the word full, because in the midst of working, taking trips around Ireland with visitors, spending time with the people I love in Dublin, church, etc., God has given me the strength to be present. It’s easy for me, when lots of activities are going on, to give up and withdraw from everything because I feel overwhelmed. The last month in Dublin has undoubtedly been my ‘busiest,’ but looking back I think it has been the best. It’s been full of great conversations, beautiful places, deeper relationships, and once again, seeing God’s provision. I’m really thankful.

Just as I was typing out this post, I was reminded of Psalm 16:11:

You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
